Checked into Holiday Inn Unionville,PA. Rooms were well chilled down into the mid 60's with the AC. With little kids and wife complaining of cold I tried to switch the room to heat. Front Desk informed me that our side of the building was in cool only mode. No heat available as they cannot run both at once. Recently an organization I belong to was to hold a weekend event at one of the Holiday Inns. We had received what looked like a very good group discount rate. I lived in Holiday Inn Birmingham Snowhill for 15 days ( June 30th - July 14th 2014 ). I made reservations for a one night stay two-three weeks in advance. I called the hotel directly to make the reservations. I had to stay a night at this hotel. It was raining hard and the roof was leaking. I was very wet when I woke up in the morning. I was also tired so I did not want to do anything about it. I ordered room service at 5:50 pm , the staff stated it would take 20 minutes to get to my room. We got the food , and set up to eat . The food was horrible . I called the kitchen at 6:36 pm. Awful. First a list of what they don't have : hot water, competent staff, modern amenities, decent food, and a clue of how to run a hotel. Now for the long story: We "stayed" here for three hours. I booked a room at Holiday Inn on Greenwich Rd in Virgina Beach for July 26-29. We were with a cheerleading group there for National Competition. We arrived at the hotel around 2:00 p.m. only to find out that they cancelled my room and 3 other people out of our groups rooms.
